Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Students in grades K-6 will be spending the day at Nelson’s Pumpkin Patch on Friday, September 17th! We plan to leave school by 8:30 in the morning and will return by 3:30. Each child will need to bring a sack lunch, $4 to cover the cost of admission, a snack for the ride home (we will end up having an early lunch), and outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather. They are also able to bring an additional $5 to spend at the gift shop. Permission slips AND admission fees must be turned in no later than Monday, September 13th. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school.
We also plan to have a hayride and visit two local pumpkin patches later this fall. The date has yet to be determined – we will let you know as soon as we have it scheduled!

May Activities Calendar

Attached is a calendar of all the activities we have going on in May – we’re going to be busy! This calendar, along with a permission slip for a couple of field trips, will be sent home with elementary kids and emailed to high school kids today.

We will be having a parent lunch on the last day of school – Wednesday, May 19th. Please use the following link to RSVP for the lunch, so that Debbie can order the right amount of food!

Stay on Track with Reading!

April is Reading Month this year! Our theme is “Stay on Track with Reading”.
All students in grades K-6 brought home reading contracts today. Each grade has weekly reading requirements throughout the month that must be met along the way. Their progress will be tracked on Mrs. Feldner’s awesome bulletin board!
The top reader in each grade (by minutes) will earn a pizza party on Thursday, May 6th! Students who complete all four weekly reading contracts will get to participate in our Reading Celebration, a fun-filled afternoon with the high schoolers on Friday, May 7th!
Attached is the calendar of events throughout the month, including an early dismissal on Thursday, April 16th for a staff in-service. A copy of this calendar was also sent home with all elementary students.
Happy reading!
